BGM "Star Magic Book" Washi Tape - Gold Foil, 20 mm

A grimoire in tape form: constellations, symbols and gold foil on rice paper.

BGM's 星の魔術書 (Hoshi no Majutsusho, "the book of star magic") collection is one of the prettiest the brand has ever released: astrology and magic illustrations printed on washi, with metallic foil stamping that catches the light as you turn the page. It came out in September 2025, and of the six original designs only three are still in circulation — the three we brought.

What makes BGM tapes special?

Real foil: the gold isn't printed, it's hot-stamped. It shines differently depending on how the light hits it.

Japanese rice paper: semi-transparent and soft, you can write on it and it lets what's underneath show through.

Premium adhesive: it sticks and peels off without tearing the paper, so you can reposition it in your bullet journal without ruining the page.

Tears by hand: no scissors needed.

The three designs we brought:

Deep Blue (蒼): the collection's night sky. Ink blue with gold foil.

Spirit (霊) · green: the most mysterious of the three, in deep green.

Light (光) · yellow: the brightest one, where the foil almost melts into the background.

Perfect for:

Themed journaling: tarot, astrology, fantasy reading or dark academia spreads.

Framing and dividing: 20 mm is wide enough for borders and section dividers.

Sealing envelopes and gifts: the foil elevates any simple wrapping.
